Say Goodbye

So many things have happened since I last posted here. And I mean, properly posted. Not some random update entry that just says that I'm done with schoolwork and a promise that I'll write more...yea right. So since everything has been piling up since then, I'm gonna backtrack a bit and start with the last week of school. Maybe someday, I'll actually put this in the order of when it happens.

So for Friday right after Finals Week ends. 'P' and I went to get our hair done at a nearby salon called La Villa on 汀洲路. And I think there are 2 or 3 more chain stores around the 公館 area. I'd gotten it cut here last time, but because it was the day of the BEAST concert, I wasn't able to spend too much time in the salon to do more, such as perming my hair. So this time, we allocated some time   for a perm. For me, a straight perm, because my hair is just so frizzy and I'm too lazy to straighten it everyday. And for 'P' a curly perm. I really never thought it would take so long to get a perm. We were there from 3:00-8:00 PM. I tried to do my reading for my Final Paper, which I told myself I'd finish during the weekend. Seriously... give me a late due date, and I will drag it on until the last day. Which isn't good, since the next couple days are supposed to be filled with fun and hanging out with friends and family. Anyways, back to this. This is my first time getting a straight perm and I wasn't sure how it'd turn out or how I'd look with straight hair. But I don't know if it's because I'm in a different country, that I'm willing to change and do things I would never do back home. This is only a small change, but for me it's pretty major. After 5 grueling hours of rinsing and blowing and pasting and snipping, we were finally done. The hairdresser even cut my bangs for me free of charge. And I guess it was reasonable, since it took her a total of 5 minutes to cut them. No effort at all. Or they're just pro like that. I was pretty satisfied with my hairstyle after that albeit I looked like a typical Taiwanese schoolgirl. XD

After the both of us were done, we met up with 'Yi' and 'Yo' back at the dorms and went to Shilin Night Market since it's 'Yi's last night in Taiwan. It was mostly just some shopping and eating... and we kept losing 'P' because she kept stopping and she didn't call us. I can't really say much about this trip since it was just some shopping around and I've already been to Shilin tons of times. We then went back to our dorms after stopping at 7-11 and 'Yo' and 'P' got their beers and we helped 'Yi' pack up the stuff in her room. She gave me her blanket, since she wasn't going to need it and really....my bed could always use another layer of blanket. So we just sat there and helped and talked and drank. And 'P' got so red from just drinking fruit beer >.<. When it got to 3 AM, we all left, after saying goodbye to 'Yi'. This is one part of the trip that just sucks. You'll meet so many great people and will have formed a bond over the past half year, and then you part. We'll keep in touch though... with Facebook being so convenient.

So I go back to my room and prepare for the next day. The Dragon Boat Festival. :)

my dad's gonna make me study 24/7 until summer school gets out, esp since there's no more holidays so in that case, me too.
